Applications for 2016 Shell Springboard programme are now open.
Shell Springboard provides funding to UK entrepreneurs at the cutting-edge of the low-carbon economy. In 2016 funding awards of up to £150,000 are available for small enterprises with innovative, commercially viable business ideas that reduce carbon emissions.
Since launching in 2005, the programme awarded approximately £3 million to 86 dynamic enterprises. The big ideas coming out of these small businesses are not only helping to create a lower carbon, higher energy future – they are creating a new wave of jobs and growth.
Shell Springboard is open for entries from 10am Monday, 5 October, until 5pm on Friday, 20 November 2015, with a total funding of £350,000 available in 2016.
Successful applicants will be shortlisted for two regional finals, meeting judging panels in Edinburgh and Cambridge in February 2016 (TBC).
Any UK-registered SME can apply, but it is important to remember that your application must meet the three core Shell Springboard criteria – namely that your business idea:
- Will reduce carbon emissions;
- Is commercially viable;
- Demonstrates one or more innovative elements.
