Hydrogen London member, Hyundai Motor UK have announced the official public pricing for their zero-emission, hydrogen-powered Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell vehicle.
The price of the innovative Crossover SUV is from £53,105 OTR with part-funding from the HyFIVE project.
HyFIVE (Hydrogen for Innovative Vehicles) is a Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCHJU) European project that brings together 15 partners across Europe and will be moving key regions in Europe from a demonstration to a market initiation phase through the deployment of advanced Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs). It aims to deploy up to 110 FCEVs from the five global automotive companies who are leading in their commercialisation (BMW, Daimler, Honda, Hyundai and Toyota).
The project will also deploy six new stations and linking them with 12 existing stations supplied by Air Products, Copenhagen Hydrogen Network, ITM Power, Linde and OMV. Three of these new stations will be deployed in London which will see, as a result, five publically available stations by 2016.
The Hyundai ix35 is already on the road in 15 countries around the world, including the UK and other 10 European countries.
